I have always tried to charge a reasonable and fair amount for my service. Most people who watch me have been very surprised at the amount of work and time that goes into preparing a professional valuation.

Over the years I have taken many examinations to train as a valuer. I am still committed to continual learing and training as I think you never know it all.

I do not operate a cash only service. The charges outlined below cover all the gemological equipment, liquids, photos, paper etc., and V.A.T. @ 21%. Generally, the more expensive the item, the more work goes into testing, and the bigger the diamonds the more time they take to value. As we are in the middle of a recession I have revised my charges and hope that you will be happy with these new charges.

Prices

Prices range from €50 to €150 depending on the item and the number of items to be valued. Please give Carol a call on 01-6777161 to get a quote to value your item.

Bulk Valuations

If you have a number of large pieces to have valued I will give you a quote to do them, which will cost a lot less than having them all valued individually using the above price list. Please call me at 01-6777161 for a quote.

Items under €500

Items under €500 usually do not require a full detailed valuation and are generally listed under an "Inventory" with accompanying photographs. This will cost approx €50 for up to five items. Any items that require extra testing through a laboratory will be charged accordingly.

Re-Valuation

This is advisable about every three years .The fee is €40 to €75 or I will give you a quote if a number of items.
